Playstation Home to be Hit With a Makeover

Just today it was posted on the Official Playstation Blog that Playstation Home will be receiving a significant overhaul. A change that will "connect you with the world of hundreds of games in Home faster and better than ever before." so says Jack Buser, the Director of Playstation Home. What changes does all this include? Read on...

Lid Officially Lifted on the PSP2, Codenamed: NGP

Today in Tokyo, Sony announced a brand new handheld device. Seemingly the PSP2, but currently named the NGP (Next Generation Portable), and it looks sweet. Dual analog sticks? Yes please. Check out all the details below. Well, all the details besides a price. Which I believe it'll be well over $300, just look at these specs.

Playstation Store Weekly Update for 01/25/11

I've been playing too much DC Universe Online to even remember that the Playstation Store updated today. After looking at the list of new content though, there really isn't anything all that special. Although, if you haven't already picked up the games listed on this weeks big sale, then you're in for a treat. Check it out.

Playstation Store Weekly Update for 01/18/11

Had some issues posting this yesterday, plus Little Big Planet 2 has taken over my life. Along with DC Universe Online. Mass Effect 2 also came out yesterday on blu-ray, as well as digital form on this weeks update. I'm a little surprised to see this, though I guess they really want to get PS3 consumers hooked on this whole Mass Effect thing. I'm not sold on it yet, though I will be picking it up in the coming months. I still have way too much to do in DCUO and LBP2. Full content from this weeks update is right below. Also, thanks for using the poll on the right side of the page, nice to see people actually using a new site feature.

Playstation Store Weekly Update for 01/11/11

Been extremely busy playing DC Universe Online today, but I found a little time to post this weeks PSN update. There's a huge amount of PSP Little Big Planet price drops, a new episode of Qore, and some Nine Inch Nails tunes for Guitar Hero. Other than those I don't really see anything all that special. Check out the complete list of content posted from the Official Playstation Blog right below.

Don't Own A PS3? Get One. Right Now. Before It's Too Late!

With all of the top quality PS3 games (most exclusive to the PS3) planned for 2011, you no longer have an excuse not to have a PS3 sitting in your living room. You will be laughed at and/or punched in the face if you let these excellent PS3 titles pass you by as the new year rolls on. Seriously, I'll laugh and it could get violent.

Playstation Store Weekly Update for 01/04/11

Beginning with this new year of 2011 I'm going to be posting the weekly Playstation 3 Store updates right here on this site. I think it's a great way to keep new gaming content continuously posted.

The first Store update for the new year is rather ho-hum though, in my opinion. There might be a few things in there for someone out there, but I'm certainly not interested in anything this particular update has to offer. Click below to see the full list of content.

More Photos Of The Rumored Playstation Phone

With Sony's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) going on tomorrow in Lost Vegas, perhaps we're getting some serious hints as to what Sony is about to officially reveal. Sony representatives haven't outright denied the existence of this new Playstation product as of yet, so it just further enhances the rumors that these pictures are in fact, real.

Got myself a new 160gb PS3 slim

Last night I went to EBGames and picked up a new 160gb Playstation 3. I also used my brothers PS3 to record a silly video of it's unboxing. I think it turned out quite well and I'll embed the video below. I'm quite happy with my new slim PS3 and I feel confident that this PS3 will last me a long time, unlike my big beasty 80gb backwards compatible PS3 that I had before, which I will really miss.

Rumors: PSP Phone Leak

As seen on Engadget, pictures of a supposedly leaked Sony PSP phone have been released. Apparently this new Playstation Phone will be in the market "soon" and boasts Android 3.0. This device looks an awful lot like the PSP Go, but it is actually significantly more powerful according to the hardware specs.

- 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655
- 512MB of RAM
- 1GB of ROM
- Screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches
- Touch-pad in the center to imitate dual analogs

PS3 / Reviews and Releases - October/November

This edition of Reviews and Releases will cover everything from October 26th -November 16th. Everything from Rock Band 3, The Force Unleashed 2, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

PS3 / Reviews and Releases - October

I've decided to change things up a bit and occasionally write articles on upcoming and recently released video games, as well as reviews. The reviews will be from various gaming sites on the internet, and will probably, more often than not, be about PS3 releases. Because PS3 is awesome, 'cept for mine, cause it's broken.

My Playstation 3 Died... Again

July 8th, 2009 I was playing Guitar Hero: World Tour and my system froze up, beeped three times, then proceeded to shut down completely. Upon trying to turn the system on again it beeped and briefly flashed a yellow light. It cost me $190 CDN to get it fixed from Sony, and after paying $650 for my PS3 originally, my hobby is obviously too expensive. Jumping to today, October 11th 2010, Thanksgiving, it's happening all over again.

Netflix for PS3

As of a couple days ago, Netflix is finally available in Canada! Once I found out that you get the first 30 days completely free, I signed up. I've had my PS3 for a couple years now and usually illegally download my movies and TV shows. Mostly because I'm limited in my cable TV options and I really hate commercials, as well as watching a standard definition picture on an HDTV. Now that Netflix is available on my PS3 (it's disc-less too!) in the near future I may not have much use for my current PC.

Sony shows off new Playstation Move tech-demo

Playstation Move had a great showing when it was first shown off at E3 a little more than a year ago. Microsoft had just shown their new camera system for the Xbox and Sony showed them up big time. Sony actually showed off live tech demo's on stage and right away I knew Sony wasn't aiming for a Wii knock-off.

Sony at Gamescom

First off I want to say that EA announced that Mass Effect 2 will be coming to the PS3 January 2011, with "hours of extra content". Sounds awesome and can't wait!

Gamescom was today and Sony's conference brought some pretty big news. A quick teaser for Resistance 3, and a Gran Turismo 5 release date of November 3rd. I'm not a huge racing fan but I would love to at least play a demo for this game, if only to see how gorgeous it looks in HD. I played quite a bit of GT3 on the PS2 but that was it.
