Dexter / Season 5 - Episode 2

I've been pretty sick this week so it's taken me awhile to get going on writing some articles. I just watched Sunday's Dexter though and it got me out of bed to write about it.

We finally have the true start to the season's story arc with a case for both Dexter and his co-workers to solve. I actually forgot that we didn't really have a season arc started yet from last episode. Read on for the details on what I thought about the second episode of the season.

Dexter / Season 5 - Episode 1

Oh Dexter, I've thought long and hard tonight about what I thought about this premiere episode. Dexter and I have had our ups and downs over the past couple of seasons. As I've said in my previous Dexter post, I loved the first two seasons, but I lost my interest a little since then. Last season had it's awesome moments and episodes, but the ending didn't sit well with me. I had high hopes for the premiere though, and I have to say, it was quite depressing. Not in the way some might think though. I actually enjoyed the episode overall.

Thoughts / Dexter

"Set in Miami, the show centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a blood spatter-pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, who moonlights as a serial killer. The show's first season was loosely based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, the first of his series of Dexter novels." - Wikipedia

Dexter is radically different than any other television show out there. The protagonist is a killer, he kills people. Not just any people though, he has rules, a code. He murders people that have done wrong, usually other murderers themselves.
