Lid Officially Lifted on the PSP2, Codenamed: NGP

Today in Tokyo, Sony announced a brand new handheld device. Seemingly the PSP2, but currently named the NGP (Next Generation Portable), and it looks sweet. Dual analog sticks? Yes please. Check out all the details below. Well, all the details besides a price. Which I believe it'll be well over $300, just look at these specs.





Key NGP features:

  • Multi-touch 5-inch organic light emitting display (OLED) as the front display
  • Multi-touch pad on the rear of the device
  • Dual analog sticks
  • Two cameras (front and rear)
  • Software titles on small, dedicated flash memory-based cards

    Well, what do you think? Pretty impressive right? I honestly can't wait to get my hands on one of these. However, I cringe at the thought of how expensive it will be. I'm not looking forward to reading all those "Didn't Sony learn with the PS3?" articles. Who knows though, I think $299 is the sweet spot.
